This is a message for those who are thinking of Japanese language education for foreigners and familiar people at work.

In Kuki and the surrounding areas, there are few institutions that accept Japanese language education for foreigners, so-called Japanese language schools, but there are many services that dispatch Japanese teachers, especially from within Tokyo. In addition, online language lessons are rapidly becoming popular now, and it is now possible to find good teachers not only in Japan but around the world.

Is there a reason to choose a local Japanese teacher in such a global age? There are two advantages that I consider.

１．No teacher dispatch or transportation costs

If you hire a teacher from a company that handles Japanese language education services, there is a certain guarantee about the quality of the lessons, and you will feel secure even if you are using it for the first time. However, in many cases, not only the pure tuition fee, but also the fees related to dispatch, transportation costs for moving teachers, and in some cases, designated teaching material costs are added.

Local tutors do not incur such costs. We are targeting learners in Kuki City, and we are confident in cost performance because we can take lessons only for the tuition fee. (Material costs may be charged separately if necessary.)

２．Learn lively with familiar subjects

When learning Japanese in textbooks that are supposed to be used by many people or in online lessons for a wide range of students, it is inevitable to use fictitious materials. Shop at a fictitious store, read fictitious job listings, and fill out a fictional government office form… Of course, there is no change in practice to improve Japanese, but many people will be disappointed if the fictitious one that they practiced is different from the real one. If you don’t make use of what you’ve learned, your willingness to learn will decline.

Local tutors can practice using leaflets from supermarkets that students often go to. We can actually go to the store together and look for an unfamiliar word. We can teach reading and writing by using the actual documents for procedures at the government office, school, nursery school, etc. You can also practice directions by using the map of Kuki. As much as possible, we would like to provide lessons that increase learning motivation by devising ways to use realistic teaching materials that students want to learn and use in Japanese.
